A year’s community project By Whiting Bay Memories
Do you enjoy walking around the village?
Have you ever looked at houses or buildings and wondered what their story is?
Do you enjoy exploring, or researching the past?
Would you like to meet new people?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, this project is for you.
These are our aims
Heritage trails will provide local history information to encourage & support village exploring and walking. Our heritage trails will be volunteer chosen, prepared at our regular meetings supported by regular area walks and tested.
When a trail is complete it will be digitally available from this website.
Digital guided walks will support our heritage trails.
Heritage tales will prepare and share a range of tales of our village.
The tales will be gathered by the group from research at “open to all” weekly drop-in meetings and from the local and visiting community.
